Voices Unveiled, the story of bravery, art, and courage of Iranian women... Singers Malieh Moradi, a bright student of maestro Mohammad Reza Shajarian, and Mina Deris, Iranian-Arab singer reputation for her mastery of Persian and Arabic modal systems, with Ehsan Matoori’s composition are coming together in this performance to reveal the stories of Iranian women and the atrocities they have been fighting against for decades.
Voices Unveiled is composed of three musical parts. First, a Farsi performance; second, the Arabic portion; and last, a fusion of Persian, Arabic, and Western music that encapsulates the beauty of the three musical genres. This concert is in light of the Women-Life-Freedom movement and also highlights the Nobel Prize winner, Narges Mohammadi, and her strong will and indomitable spirit.
